Okay. I was assuming it was still in there somewhere, because if it wasn't he'd basically be a useless heap. We know this because after using practically all of its power at one point in chapter eight, he staggered back to the cat-tank and fell asleep; as of chapter ten, he still hasn't woken up. So I've basically been operating on the assumption that he can't really 'let it out', but it's present enough that he can still function properly.
